David Joseph Farrar

"On Sunday, October 28, 2001, my very good friend and colleague, Chief Dave Foxx, collapsed and passed away after wrestling a "2 Out of 3 Pinfalls" Match and a Battle Royal in Massachusetts. Not only was Dave a class act in professional wrestling, but also in his everyday life. His friends and fans in professional wrestling will miss him greatly, and I offer my most sincere condolences to Dave's wife, Charlene, and all his children. Dave had many friends and fans in the NWL and his pictures will continue to hang proudly in the HOUSE of PAIN to remind us of what a good friend he was to us all. God has taken away a true friend and many people are saddened by this event. But the spirit of Chief Dave Foxx will live on forever as he watches over us from the Heavens in which he believed in."

Dave started his carrer around 1978 in Lafollette,TN, when he had accepted a challenge to wrestle a 750 lb brown bear named "Ginger." After that match, he was invited for a tryout in Knoxville, TN, under the skillfull eyes of Rugged Ronnie Garvin, Boris Malenko, and Cowboy Bob Orton.

The Chief's career expanded into TN, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, PA, CT, MA, Rhode Island and a few more states. He has been with some of today's famous names such as Chief Jules Strongbow, Ric Flair, Tony Garea, The Samoans, Scott Hall, Shawn Michaels, Larry Zybysco, Lex Luger and many others.

Since coming to the New England area, The Chief joined forces with former WWF tag team champion Chief Jules Strongbow and together they formed the tag team of "Tribal Nations." Since then, both chiefs have been in demand with various wrestling promotions throughout the New England area. The Chief is 1/2 Native American from the Blackfoot Tribe out of Montana, which has several reservations in Montana and Alberta, Canada.

Chief J. Fox, just want every one to know that I was one of his last matches and I sat in the locker room most of the night talking with him and earlier that night we got into the subject about wrestling and he told me that he would be the most happiest person dying doing what he loves and that he did.

He went out at the top of his game wining the world championship from me that night,me and him were the last 2 in the battle royal for the ucw world title.   He went out like he wanted too, expecially being a champion in doing the thing he loved more than life it self.  I still got the marks on my chest to prove it.   LOL He had some of the most visous chops.

Me and Sonny D.  were the last 2 people he made conversation with before we seen him hit the floor and go out.  I have know him for many years and we both that night shared conversations for a good couple hours talking about all sorts of things from wrestling with John Rambo and so on.

When I got to the hospital and found out that he had passed on, I was deeply saden but in another way, it replenished my spirit for the sport, that man went against Doctors orders, knowing that he could die, his heart and will over came everything and that man still went out their and put on the last best 4 matches in his life that night.   I feel saden but really happy for him that he went out the way he wanted to.  Yes this was a great tragety but it made my spirit stronger for the sport, a spirit that will never quit.  Just like his was, that man had more heart in this buisness than anyone I know.  He gave his life for the sport and I take my hat off for him for that.

I just like to say God bless him and hope that Jesus is taking good care  of him and hope that he isn't lighting up people in the big ring in the sky too bad.  LOL

Take care Brother, see you in heaven soon and My heart and love is with you.
