Everything Has a
Beginning
by John Rambo
No matter what it is, it had to start somewhere. So it goes for starting wrestling territories. The WWF, WCW, ECW, USWA and the other fine organizations of the wrestling industry all started somewhere, as the result of one man's desire to associated with something he loved.
John Rambo is no different
then any one of the founding fathers of the previously named organizations.
Within just a few months work (which, by the way, has been 7 days a week), John Rambo has
started a quality wrestling show each and every Tuesday evening at the House of Pain in
Hagerstown, MD. It has grown from an audience of about 8 fans to a packed house
every week. Just as many fans get turned away as there are to enter. By the way,
there is NO CHARGE for admission.
John Rambo has said "Since I returned to the Hagerstown area, and began training and
helping the already established wrestlers, I have noticed a large amount of wrestling fans
there that lived within the vicinity of the S.P.W.T.C. So I figured as a gesture of
appreciation for watching and because I take pride in what I do for a living, I'll give
them what they love the most-Live Action! Ever since that first Tuesday night,
everything keeps getting better and better. My next move is to get a local T.V.
station to show as much interest in it as the fans in the area. Which, by the way, are the
best bunch of fans I've encountered in quite a while."
With the way thing have gone, and are going, chances are that the HoPWF will continue to
be successful. As to how much, that remains to be seen, but even if nothing more
comes out of it, the HoPWF is already at a level of entertainment that would be missed
very much if it was to dissolve. When asked about his opinion on the future of the
HoPWF, Rambo replied "I've been around for a good amount of years in this
business. I've been involved in a few attempts at starting new territories,
specifically in the Pacific Northwest Region. There was failure but there was also
much success. As to how I feel the HoPWF is going to hang, all I can say is each and
every week wrestlers are improving. Every week I put in continuous effort to each
match on a Tuesday night and I will keep doing so. Dedication, hard work and prayer
are my main ingredients to making this work. I hope it does, not just for the
wrestlers sakes, but also all the wrestling fans out there who love, enjoy, and deserve
excellent quality wrestling entertainment."
Only time itself will be able to tell how things will pan out for Rambo and the HoPWF, but
you can bet your life savings that every wrestling fan in the Hagerstown area will be
supporting the HoPWF! Maybe one day the wrestling world will get to see mainstream
media attention on the HoPWF's VERY REAL, VERY ROUGH style of wrestling that is already
spreading by word of mouth through the entire wrestling industry itself. There's
been enough attempts at non-entertaining wrestling matches, and it's about time some
serious hard working athletes get some due recognition.
Let's hope all goes well for the HoPWF and much more continued success in the future!!!!!!
