Wrestling on the Internet

Hello, and welcome again to the SUPLEX NEWSWIRE. In this issue I would like to touch on an area that is overdue for some serious recognition. Every week, there are wrestling events held across the country. There are more you don't hear about, than the one's you do. Same goes for the wrestling talent themselves. All your big time wrestling stars arise out of these unknown independent leagues and outlaw shows. But there's one big difference between then, and now. Then, you had to wait until the major promotion's found new talent. After which, a star was born and the media coverage followed. Now, we have a much larger array of media coverage. Today's cyber-technology has allowed us to distribute news around the world, as fast as it happens. In other words, as wrestling fans, you all get to hear about tomorrow's stars,........ today!

While I was recently out west, I was fortunate enough to run across a crew of new wrestlers from Hayward, Ca. I found out that they wrestle for Roland Alexander and the APW. (All Pro Wrestling) As I watched each individual match, I was very impressed. Their technique, psychology, appearance, and ring presence was very good. Along with these much needed skills, they all had positive attitudes. In the coming weeks, I will take an individual wrestler from the APW and feature him/her in my "Real Deal" article. I would also like to mention that Mr. Alexander is a seasoned pro wrestler, trained by Rocky Johnson. I state this because it was Rocky Johnson that got me going in the direction of studying under Afa, the Wild Samoan. And speaking of Afa, I would like to quickly say I will be wrestling on 2 of Afa's show this month. Getting back to the west coast, I will say that the wrestler's that you should watch out for are as follows: Mike Diamond, "Leprechaun" Erin O'Grady, "Natural One" Michael Modest, Donovan Morgan, and "Gigolo" Steve Rizzono. And like I said, I will take one of these wrestlers and try to provide you with interesting statistical information. It's time to get all the deserving wrestler's in the country the opportunity to mainstream media attention. Well, that wraps up this "Real Deal" and I hope you all enjoyed it.
