to cancel out of this event and, according to NWL/HoPWF rules, the champions had to vacate
the title. Hyjinx & American Jackass were declared the new champions due to forfeit,
but Jack Hammer was allowed to pick a partner to try to regain the title. Brother Deuce
ran to the ring and told Hammer he was ready and would do anything to get a shot at
winning a championship. Hammer told Brother Deuce if he would promise to change his rule
breaking ways, he would take him on as a partner for the match. Brother Deuce agreed and
the match was set. |

Hyjinx with his "Country Justice" finish maneuver and American Jackass went to
the top rope to drop an elbow on Hammer. Brother Deuce shook the ropes and Jackass fell
off the ropes and onto to floor. Jack Hammer covered Hyjinx for the pin at 8:58. After the
match, a very happy Brother Deuce told the fans he was glad he decided to change his ways,
and he also stated he wanted to change his name. The Charles Town, WV, native will now go
by Deuce is Wild, and along with Jack Hammer and manager Fantasia, will be defending the
HoPWF Tag Team Title on Saturday, 7-13-02, at the HoPWF Martinsburg, WV, event at the
Apollo Theather. |

| Adam Brown was
counted out of the ring at 10:44 by referee Mike DiMuzio. Both men were fighting outside
the ring, when Brown DDTed Flex on the floor. Brown threw Flex back into the ring, but
before he could go for the pin, American Jackass snuck up from behind and hit brown in the
head with brass knuckles. Brown fell to the floor and DiMuzio made the 10 count. Flex
Fenom thought he won the belt after the bell rang, but DiMuzio informed the crowd that
"Wild Thing" Adam Brown retained the NWL Cruiserweight Title. Flex got upset and
demanded another rematch, but DiMuzio told him he will have to wait until after Brown's
match against the Jersey Devil on Saturday, 7-13-02, in Martinsburg, WV. |
